A Qualifying Law Degree fulfills the academic requirements and legal training for law practice in England and Wales.
Internationally, a number of jurisdictions (typically, former Commonwealth countries) also recognize the University of London’s LL.B as counting towards full (or partial) fulfillment of its legal training requirements.
Please note that you would still have to fulfill certain other requirements (e.g., Bar exams, pupillage, etc) set by the legal professional organization in the jurisdiction in which you consider practicing law.
If you are interested in UOL’s law degree for this purpose, you should:
- Contact your local legal professional bodies (Law Society, Bar Association or Council) to inquire about their specific requirements, and the extent to which the University of London LLB satisfies those requirements; and
- Select UOL’s Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) option (regardless of whether you are on the standard or graduate track).
