Often, this is a mix of essay-type questions and problem-solving case scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>For some modules (e.g., Criminal Law), students are required to answer three of six questions, in addition to 15 multiple choice questions.<\/p>\n<p>Legal System &amp; Methods has a pre-exam component, requiring you to submit a case note on a case that then forms the basis of one compulsory question in the exam.\u00a0 No grade is awarded.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you do not submit your LSM case note by the deadline* (March for the May exam, and September for the October exam), you will lose 25 marks (i.e., 25% of the module grade).<\/p>\n<p>* The deadline for case note submission changes each year, and you should check the deadlines on the &lt; VLE home page\/ LSM &gt;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/uol-law-tutors.com\/index.php\/contact\/\"><strong>Contact us<\/strong><\/a> if you would like to better understand how the UOL method of assessment works.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You are assessed solely on the basis of how you do in each 3 hour 15 minute examination.
